Album Reviews By: Chris Clark, P-W.net Worship Columnist
Album Review: The Frantics and Living Sacrifice
Hello everyone, welcome to the first establishment of my column.
I'm Chris Clark, and this week I'll be covering two great Christian albums.
First off, I'd like to say that my church is starting revival soon. This
has come due to lots of prayer, and I highly suggest praying for revival at
your own churches.
Now to the albums: First I'll start off with the Frantics' album, entitled
Meet the Frantics. This is poppy punk that any teen should like. I got the
opportunity to see the Frantics in concert, and it was a great experience.
This cd has some humor in it, as well as glorifying God. I think you'll
find the guitars in the album very good, as well as the vocals. I love this
cd, I've been playing none stop. You must get it if you don't already!
Next up, the new album from Living Sacrifice, entitled The Hammering
Process. What a fit name! I picked this up today at Lifeway, and the
moment I put it in it bombarded me with noise. This thing is heavy, and I
love it!
I once read in a music review column by Jim DeRogatis while he was doing a
review of some album: "This kind of music will make you want to go running
over to Christian rock, and we wouldn't want that, so let's move on." Well,
Jimbo, after listening to the LS cd, you'd be crying to your mamma. This cd
reeks of loudness, with deep vocals, distorted guitars, and 2 drummers!
This is awesome, and I highly recommend it!
That's it for the reviews, but I have one more thing to say. I want to
orient this column a little about guitars, since this is a guitar site
right? Please send in your guitar questions and/or comments and I will post
them in this column next time.
